Some thoughts on the end of 2008

Whoever said, "End it with a smash", was seriously joking when they said it. Finishing the year of 2008 with piles of snow and cities that could not deal with the volume of icy precipitation is not my idea of a "smashing" fun time. Oh, yes! At first, it was fun and exciting. Our normally mild climate was collecting snow on the ground that usually melts away before it can be played in. The snow just kept coming and coming and coming! But, by the time the rains came (two weeks later), we were all SO TIRED of the snow! Too cold! Too MESSY! Too much!!!
