Weekend Getaway

Every year during Presidents Day weekend Dave takes me away from the house and the children for a break.  This year we found a gorgeous lodge on the Olympic Peninsula.  We had to take a ferry across the Strait of Jaun de Fuca to get there.  The lodge was completely beautiful and relaxing.  And the view from our window of the Olympic Mountains was stunning.  And the added perk to our trip was the little town of Sequim (pronounced scwim).  It was cloudy and rainy everywhere else on the peninsula, but in Sequim, it was sunny and beautiful.  We spent an entire day there.  We found an old train bridge at the Audubon society's sanctuary and I got some fun pictures.  I have decided that I really like taking pictures of old bridges.

We really did not want to come home!
