He's just getting started.

Today Dave is 40.  WOW!  I have known him since he was 17 years old.  And to some degree, he is still that young boy that intrigued my heart all those years ago.  Dave just doesn't seem to age.  Especially mentally.  I've asked him several times if he is bothered by it, the 'turning 40' thing.  But no, it doesn't phase him at all.  I wish I were like that.  I am only 7 short months and 3 days behind him and I am not thrilled at the prospect of entering my 5th decade.  But Dave just seems to go along with life as though he were always young.  Hmmm...Don't we all wish we could be like that?  To Dave, it's not all down hill from here.  He's gonna run down that hill full tilt and run back up for another go.  Woo hoo!  Happy Birthday, Dave!
