Our First Missionary

My parents have 20 grandchildren with one on the way. Their ages range from almost born to 19 years. The first grandchild was a son born to my late brother, David, and his wife Andrea. Steven is now 19 and is going on a mission. He will be serving in the Atlanta, Georgia North Mission for 2 years. What a wonderful young man Steven has become. It has been so fun to see him grow up. And we are all so proud of him. He is setting a standard for all the other grandsons to go on their missions, and with 3 sons of our own we are very grateful for this example that Steven is setting for his younger cousins.

On Saturday July 25, 2009, we got to go through the Seattle Temple with Steven before he reports to the MTC. What a wonderful experience that was. We all stood in the Celestial room as long as we possibly could just cherishing the moment. I am so grateful for the Plan of Salvation so that I can be with my family, the David O. Weller family, and the Jerry V. Mortenson family, forever and ever. We will miss Steven very much, and know he is being an obedient servant of God.
