The last weekend of summer was cool and rainy. So we decided to go to Mukilteo Beach...where else would we be on a day like that? We saw so many things and had so much fun, despite the fact that everyone was moaning and groaning that they would have to spend the day outside in the inclement weather. We saw a ferry, and trains, and a boat race, played at the beautiful new playground, scavenged all kinds of wonderful and amazing things from the rocks including a jelly fish about 12 inches in diameter. We played in the sand and on the driftwood, and some of us got very wet (whispers...that would be Ryan). Everyone agreed that it was a very fun day!

This mama DOES NOT like heights. I never like to live in fear and most of the time I practice at conquering them, however, I haven't got this one licked yet. There is a light house at Mukilteo Beach. Granted, it is not a very big one, but the view at the top is still very impressive...and it turned my stomach. I was up there not two minutes before I turned on my heel and headed back down the winding stairway. I look back up and see 1,2,3 all four of my children following me. LOL! Apparently, they have all inherited my fear of heights. I guess trying to be a good example isn't good enough. Must try harder to conquer my fears!
