I love having my parents live so close. They get to participate so much in my kids' lives. It really makes for some special memories. Every year our elementary schools have a Grandparent Day the day before Thanksgiving. It gives the kids an opportunity to show Gramma and Grampa what they do at school. And the grandparents LOVE it. Each of the little boys had a special speaking part in their class presentations and got to show gramma and grampa around the classroom, and show the projects that they were working on. There were even some yummy refreshments served. It was a very fun event!
