We actually only decided to add a second story to our 2300 square foot rambler sometime in April. We rushed structural engineered plans and city permits in order to get started as soon as we could. We need to be finished before school starts again in the Fall.
We are adding 2 bedrooms, for Jared and Ryan, a full bath, a new family room, a storage room and 4 hall closets and, of course, a stairwell. When all is said and done we will have gone from 1200 square feet (when we bought this house in 1997) to 3000 square feet. That's 3 additions in 8 years. Yah, we're nuts!

You just may be crazy! But it will be so exciting to see all the changes. And hopefully the house will be perfect when you're done.

You guys are so ambitious. If you ever feel like you can't take the noise and mess of the construction, you are welcome to hang out with us for awhile. Although, I can't promise that it would be any quieter.
