Words just cannot express...

...the mess we have been in this week!

(This pile of insulation is a teeny tiny pile.  The piles I'm talking about were truly HUGE!)

These pictures do not do justice to the mess we have been living in.  I did not get any pictures of the true mess because at its worst I was falling apart and Dave had to take me away for a while until Jared could get it taken care of.  Jared was my HERO that day.  There was insulation mess in large mountains (feet not inches) all over the house...on the laundry, on beds, all over the floors, on the computers, on the kitchen table.  It truly was a mess.  Add drywall dust piles and pieces of ceiling on top of that mess plus squeezing through temporary walls just to get around the house.  It was pathetic.  My vacuum cleaner is shot, Matthew is having a rough time, I am crying, everybody is exhausted.  I have holes all over the ceilings and walls.  And then there was the noise.  Banging and thumping and loud sawing and walls shaking.  THE WALLS WERE SHAKING!  Very disconcerting.  I knew it would be loud, but this was ridiculous!!!

I was not prepared for this.

Next week should be much better when the floor goes on and I get my house back. Living in a house under construction is NOT A GOOD IDEA! But sometimes you don't have a choice.

I found a link to your blog through Sam's blog. I am amazed at what you guys are doing to your house. I remember how it was from the very beginning when I use to be over baby sitting. I will be up for Andrea's wedding in August and I would love to come by and see. We just finished a bathroom remodel and that was overwhelming enough. Try and stay sane. Can't wait to read more about the progress.
