Several years ago I bought Ryan a book called 'I Love You Stinky Face' by Lisa McCourt. And Ryan loves this book. It is about a mother that declairs her love for her child whether he is any number of big, scary, smelly monsters, or a sweet little child. Ryan then began asking us to call him Stinky Face. I have always had pet names for my children like angel face, sunshine, punkin' and sweet pea, to name a few. But, Stinky Face? Hmmmm. So we all complied and called him Stinky Face. This lasted until he got braces on. Then we were to call him Brace Face. Yesterday, Ryan had his monthly orthodontist appointment and chose to get red and green bands on his braces. When we got to the car, I said, "hop in, Christmas Face". Whatever face Ryan happens to be wearing I will always love it. I am inlove with my Ryan Face. How could I not be.
