Good Lookin' Young Man!

I am so excited to share Jared's Senior photos with you. I was the photographer. They turned out better than I had hoped. Jared was very happy with them so that must mean I did good.

This young man is so amazing. Photogenic, and enthusiastic, and fun-loving, and playful, and cheerful, and helpful, and amazing, and responsible, and I could go on and on... I just love this kid. I am so grateful to have him be a part of my life. He, too, is my best friend. And sometimes when I am down and Dave is not around this young man will give me a hug and try to make me feel better.

We will only have Jared home for about 10 more months because he plans on going on his mission before attending college (hopefully BYU). I will miss him dearly, but I am so proud of him for his decision to go at 18, which he will be just barely (August birthday).

I love you Jared, the Strong and Mighty!

Dangerous 5 Minute Chocolate Mug Cake

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug (MicroSafe)

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well.
Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!
