It All Started With Weeds

I love my gardens.  I put a lot of time and effort into creating and caring for them.  Even sweat, blood, and tears have gone into the making of my masterpiece (it is to me, anyway).  My gardens are my pride and joy in the summer time.  And it has taken us about 17 years to get our yards to where they are now.  And we are still working on them.

Several years ago a road crew came out and fixed a large portion of the street and threw down gravel in front of our yard.  It looked nice for a while until the weeds came.  Then it was just an eyesore.  It isn't uncommon for passersby to stop, point, comment, and compliment us on our yard, but the weedy gravel was a huge distraction and entirely out of place.  After several years of this degradation to our yard, Dave began weeding and one thing led to another.  Before we knew it we were putting down and extension of our brick walkway under the arbor and will soon dig up the gravel and seed for beautiful, lush, green grass.  I can hardly wait.  Pictures of the finished project coming soon...I hope.
