Today we ditched doin' our chores and went to the Pilchuck River instead. Our first day of summer vacation was cool and cloudy, but today was a beautiful day! How can you resist going to the river on a day like today? I know not, because we certainly couldn't...even the adults. Oops, that would be me and Dave.
The kids had a great time welcoming summer by wading in the water, (it was still a little too cold for inner tubing, although, Jared tried once), sunbathing, playing on driftwood that has been there all 12 years that we have been going (it even remained after the HUGE flooding this last season), and getting all sandy. Yea, we just couldn't keep Shaney out of the sand...Just Kidding!!! I think we're goin' again tomorrow...and chores will still be here when we get back.
Someone got a little tired at the river today.
