This was Jared's last cross country meet of the season. It was at a beautiful park called River Meadows. The Stillaquamish River runs along side the park. We saw Salmon laying their eggs in the shallows of the river. They would flick around right on the surface. It was neat to watch! We gathered leaves with Matthew and I got some really good pictures of him.
It was pouring rain and we all got soaked through. The racers ran in the rain and came back from the trails very wet and MUDDY! I didn't get a good picture of Jared running courtesy of the rain and because that kid was running too fast. But, I did get some of him dripping wet in the runners shoot and one of his muddy feet. "And you wanna come home in dad's car?...Go ask you dad!" LOL!!
The season did end with a BANG!!! We had thunder storms in the area. And I am grateful they passed through before Jared raced.
That is one very wet young man! :D

Matthew is a cutie inside and out. Jared might be very wet but at least he didn't "melt".
