Wait a minute!  How did we get here?  Didn't I just wave good-bye to her on her first day of kindergarten?  Good grief, next thing you know she'll be dating!  Not ready for that one.

Taller

Jared was a full head shorter than Shaney at the beginning of summer.  In August we looked at the two of them standing together and realized that sometime during the summer Jared had sprouted UP!  Where were we?  How did we miss that one? 

Got glasses

We finally got Matthew's vision checked.  He looks so cute!

Getting orthodontics

Shaney would be the logical guess since she is the oldest.  Nope!

Jared might be next because we still have time before he graduates from high school.  Not this one either!

Matthew clearly has an overbite.  Guess again!

This one. 

Ryan has a class 3 overbite which means that when he closes his mouth his top teeth fit all the way down to the gums inbetween his lower teeth.  His jaw was not aligned.  His bottom jaw was going left and his top was going right.  And he had adult teeth coming in that would grind against eachother as soon as they came in.  We couldn't wait!  It had to get done NOW!!!  We had 3 appointments in one day.  That is how critical it was that we start right away.  Ryan has even lost 2 teeth in front durning the process.  He has to wear this pallet expander that I have to crank with a little key every night.  His mouth is so tiny and the expander is so big.  He also has a really hard time talking.  We have ALOT of work ahead of us!  Poor kid!!!

The bottom is not Ryan's mouth, but this is what the pallet expander looks like.  Ryan's mouth is much smaller.
