Paleo nerd

About 10 years ago I discovered a passion I have that was a complete surprise to me because it involves dirt.  (Note:  I have a reputation for hating to get my hands dirty)  It includes biology and geology and forensics and teeth (the bigger the better!) and skin and feathers and bones and sometimes no bones and all kinds of stuff.  I find myself starving to learn anything and everything that falls into the department of Paleontology.  I love to learn about all the new discoveries.

Last night for date night Dave took me to a lecture at the UW about hunting for dinos on 4 continents (hot and cold) by a Dr. Philip Currie of the University of Alberta, Canada.  It was AWESOME!  I devoured every word.  I would even be interested in going on a dig.    I was already interested last summer when we went to a dino museum in St. George, UT, who actually accept volunteers to help them with their digs in the summers.  That is definitely going on my bucket list.

Maybe one day...
